From Maltipoos to Rottweilers, Shar Peis to Shepherds — I work with all shapes, sizes and temperaments. Every dog is different, and my approach always reflects that. Sometimes the goal is simple: a dog that walks nicely on the lead, comes back when called, doesn't jump up at visitors and is genuinely a pleasure to live with. Sometimes it is more complex: resolving reactivity to people or dogs. That's what I'm here for. Whether you're navigating a complex behavioural challenge or you just want a dog you can take anywhere without dreading what happens next, the aim is always the same. A dog that fits into your life, not one that takes it over.
I offer one-to-one sessions, neutrality group classes and residential training.

Lara's Approach
Clear Communication
My job is to help you communicate with your dog in a way they actually understand; building a shared language between you that makes expectations clear, removes confusion and gives your dog the tools to navigate the modern world confidently. When a dog understands what's being asked of them, everything changes - the frustration on both sides reduces, the relationship improves, and the dog you've always wanted becomes a reality.
Behaviour Modification
From reactivity to anxiety to prey drive; behaviour modification is at the heart of what I do. These are the cases that need patient, structured work — not quick fixes or suppression, but a genuine understanding of what's driving the behaviour and a plan that addresses it at the root.
Reliable Results
Results come from consistency, clarity and a training plan built around your specific dog, not a generic programme applied to every case. My goal is always behaviour that holds up in the real world, around real distractions, in the situations that actually matter to you.
Tailored Training
No two dogs are the same, and no two training plans should be either. The right approach depends on your dog's temperament, age, breed and the specific behaviour we're addressing. The plan is built around your dog, not the other way around.
